Carol's third nonfiction history book, Yukon, was released October 2021. She curated several hundred images for the book, and researched and wrote the manuscript. She has hundreds of published works, both written and photographic. Carol weekly reports, writes, and photographs for several Canadian County, Oklahoma, newspapers. She also writes for three of Oklahoma's top magazines, plus other publications. Carol's second book, the nonfiction history of Southeastern Oklahoma, was released in 2017.  She won her first writing award as a young girl, and she still loves stories that grab readers at the first sentence.
