Dana is an impressionist, who loves the natural world, and her Native American heritage. You'll often find her in the upstairs art studio in her home, or outside with her menagerie of domestic and feral animals.
Born and raised in Oklahoma City, OK, Dana became an art enthusiast before entering kindergarten. Dana took art classes throughout her school years, graduated from Yukon High School, in Yukon, OK and attended Oklahoma State University. Dana and her husband live on an acreage in beautiful south Texas. In the 1830s, the U.S. moved Dana and Carol's great-great-great-grandparents from Mississippi into Indian Territory on the Choctaw Trail of Tears. Their paternal grandfather and great-grandparents were registered in the U.S. Dawes Census. Another of their great-grandfathers was an Arkansas lawman who rounded up outlaws in Indian Territory during the 19th century. She and Carol also have Cherokee ancestry on two branches of the family tree.
